Fake the Foundation

I love makeup, that is no secret but what I dislike most about it is when I can feel my foundation. I want my makeup to feel light and fresh and still last all day...I guarantee you that I am not the only one. I run into so many people that do not need foundation and just don't know any better, so they are using products that they really do not need. I'm going to give you my trick on how to fake foundation! Now before I do I want you to know that there is a time and place for full coverage foundation. For example: Weddings and Photography which are on a whole other level in itself so I will go into that another day. I want to stick with the everyday, easy, basic, anyone can do it face. It is not cakey or full coverage but it still makes your skin look soft and flawless...and best of all, the products I am listing are from the drugstore! So if you like full coverage this may not be for you, but I dare you to try it!

Step 1: Find a tinted BB or CC cream that you love and that works for your skin type. I like to use Maybelline's Dream Pure BB Cream. It's an 8 in 1 BB cream with Salicylic Acid that gives just the right amount of coverage. Apply and blend all over your face and neck area..A little goes a long way so don't over do it.

Step 2: Choose a mattifying powder. I like NYX Stay matte but not flat powder, but you can use your favorite. It's not heavy or full coverage but it covers the areas that need to be covered without caking up. Swirl the powder all over the same areas you applied the cream and you will be amazed at how your skin looks!

Continue your regular blush and HAC(highlight and contour) routine and your done. That's it folks! It's really that easy!
If you want to know my step by step HAC routine (or any other beauty related questions, tips, or tricks) drop me a line and let me know if that is something you would like me to do. Also, let me know if you tried this trick and LOVED it...I'm sure you will!
I hope this helps someone and makes your makeup routine that much easier. Thanks for stopping by!
